ACC radar and 360-camera integration

2023 Ford F-150 Tremor · 5.0L V8

This decision is still open. 3 options are being compared, nothing has been ordered, and no manufacturer has been committed to. Where one option is marked as currently leaning, that's a preference at this stage — not a decision.

What this turns on

This is one integration problem, not five separate purchases. The adaptive cruise radar sits behind the lower center bumper fascia, the 360-degree camera lives in the grille emblem, and the OEM Gen 3 Raptor grille, the Baja Designs pods mounted behind it and the ADD front bumper all have to end up in positions that leave both sensors working. Choosing any one of those parts in isolation is how a truck ends up with a bumper fitted and adaptive cruise permanently disabled. Ford-compatible radar calibration is required once the final bumper position and ride height are set, so this decision cannot close until the suspension and bumper decisions do.

ACC relocation bracket

Addictive Desert Designs

Researching

Why this option

The bracket from the same manufacturer as the bumper, which is the shortest path to a radar position the bumper was designed around. ADD has offered it free with qualifying bumpers during recent promotions.

Where it currently stands

Nothing decided. Whether the promotion applies to the specific Pro Bolt-On configuration on this build has not been confirmed, and the bracket solves the radar without addressing the grille camera.

What it actually cost

Not purchased yet — no cost recorded.

Cost, installation notes, and a verdict will be added here once this part is bought and fitted.

Sourced relocation solution

Specialty Performance Parts / SPV Parts

Researching

Why this option

A specialist source for Raptor conversion hardware, which may carry a solution covering both the radar and the grille-mounted camera rather than the radar alone.

Where it currently stands

Nothing decided, and no specific part has been identified yet.

What it actually cost

Custom fabrication

Researching

Why this option

The fallback if no off-the-shelf bracket positions both sensors correctly behind this particular combination of grille, pods and bumper.

Where it currently stands

Nothing decided. Most expensive route, and the hardest to document usefully for anyone else building the same truck — which counts against it on a site whose point is repeatability.
