Airbags vs. Timbren
Timbren is the current preferred direction: passive, nothing to inflate or maintain, and it fits the project's general preference for simple, durable components over ones with more moving parts.
Air helper springs remain on the table because they allow fully adjustable load leveling, useful since the Airstream isn't the only thing this truck will ever tow. That flexibility comes at the cost of a compressor and air lines to install and maintain — added complexity the project is trying to avoid where possible.
