Why this option

Bought after the passenger-side rear tire was punctured in the collision. Rather than a used tire in the factory 275/70R18 size, this is a used LT285/75R18, the 35 in size the truck is headed for, bought as the spare so it carries over when the full set changes. Bought used because the tire package for the finished truck is still an open decision.

Trade-offs

A departure from the factory size, deliberately: until the full set changes to 35 in, it is larger than the 275/70R18 tires on the truck. It was listed with 9/32 in of tread.
