What this turns on

Whether a Gen 3 Raptor grille fits a Tremor front end is genuinely unsettled, and searching it returns confident answers that do not agree. Owner reports of a direct swap - no modification, just transfer the active grille shutter, the camera and the washer nozzle from the original - are almost all about aftermarket Raptor-style grille kits, which are engineered to fit an F-150. This truck is getting a genuine factory Raptor grille, which is a different part, and the parts lists people publish for full OEM front-end swaps do include the upper bumper valance alongside the grille. The plan here is to run without the valance, on the reasoning that it is the valance rather than the grille that conflicts. That was a hypothesis, not a finding, when this was written, and no published source confirms it. Update, 14 Oct 2026: the grille went in cleanly. The bumper trim below it is not on the truck yet, and that may be where compatibility stops - it gets reported here whichever way it goes, which is the entire reason this page exists, because the answer does not currently exist anywhere useful.

OEM Gen 3 Raptor grille

Why this option

Core to the Raptor front-end conversion the bodywork and bumper decisions all depend on. OEM rather than a replica so the marker lights and mounting are factory-correct.

Trade-offs

Bought used, so condition on arrival is an open item. Two fitment questions sit behind it. The first is the valance, above. The second is well attested and easy to overlook: the active grille shutter, the 360-degree camera and the washer nozzle all have to move across from the original grille, and on this truck the camera is the one that matters - it is part of the same driver-assistance problem as the radar bracket. The grille, the ADD Pro Plus bumper and the Diode Dynamics lighting are all meant to carry through to phase two unchanged; none of this front end is temporary.

Raptor-style replica grille

Aftermarket

Why this option

Substantially cheaper than OEM, widely available, and visually close from a distance.

Why it wasn't chosen

A replica was never going to sit right on a truck whose whole front end is being converted to genuine Raptor parts. A used factory grille came in well under new-OEM money, which removed the only argument the replica had.

What it actually cost

Not purchased yet — no cost recorded.
