Chosen

Addictive Desert Designs

Ordered

Ordered 13 Sep 2026 — expected early to mid November

Part number: R218571280103

Why this option

The requirement that decided it: the bumper must retain the factory hitch, trailer harness, reverse sensors and tow hooks. ADD publishes that retention explicitly on the Pro Bolt-On rear (R218571280103), which is the one bought. On a truck built to tow a 6,500 lb Airstream, a rear bumper that compromises the hitch or harness fails the primary use case no matter how it looks. Configured without side lights. Fitment on a leaf-sprung Tremor rather than a coil-sprung Raptor is the open question, and is exactly what this build will document.

Trade-offs

Matching the front bumper means matching its lead time. This truck is a Tremor, not a Raptor. The plan is a full OEM Raptor front-end conversion, after which Raptor-spec parts become the correct fitment. The 2021+ F-150 and Gen 3 Raptor share a frame, so the bumper is expected to bolt up — but ADD validates this part on Raptor only, so it is being treated as an open verification item rather than a settled fact until the front end is together and test-fitted.

Phantom Rear Bumper

Not selected

Addictive Desert Designs

Why this option

Meaningfully cheaper at roughly $1,798.98 versus the Pro Bolt-On, from the same manufacturer and the same facility.

Why it wasn't chosen

Meaningfully cheaper, from the same manufacturer and the same facility. Passed over on styling rather than substance: a different design language to the Pro Plus front, which would have broken the front-to-rear consistency the exterior is built around.

What it actually cost

Not purchased yet — no cost recorded.

V1 Rear Bumper

Not selected

SVC Offroad

Why this option

Clean, minimal lines and a quick stock-to-race transformation from a respected USA builder.

Why it wasn't chosen

Retention of the factory trailer harness and reverse sensors was never confirmed to the explicit standard ADD publishes. On a truck bought to tow, that verification had to come before styling.

Not purchased yet — no cost recorded.
