Everything else on this truck is getting inspected and repaired personally, but the differential is the exception — it was visibly pushed back from the transfer case in the rear impact, and that's not something to guess about before finalizing any rear suspension decisions.

Update, 14 October: it never went out. The self-inspection found the housing bent first, which turned a differential question into an axle replacement - see "A bent axle, and a donor coded 3S73".
