Cracked rear axle lift blocks

Why this option

The original cast blocks came off the truck with a hairline fracture running above the second locating boss - visible in the teardown photographs. A cracked casting carrying the rear axle is not something to reuse, whatever else is decided about ride height.

Trade-offs

Bought used rather than new, which on a cast part means inspecting what arrives before it goes anywhere near the truck. The correct-angle geometry is the thing that matters: a block with the wrong wedge changes pinion angle, and that shows up as driveline vibration under tow. These replace what cracked - they are not a lift, and they are not the track-width spacers that phase two will need.
